Gather a group together in your community, look at your local landscape (rural or urban), decide what makes it special, and then begin a project to celebrate or conserve those special qualities.

Wittenham Clumps is a magical place, but we all live and work in places that are just as special.

These places are made up of an accumulation of changes that have happened over time: farming practices, settlement, industrialisation, family histories - it is all these layers in the landscape that makes somewhere so unique and special to the occupants, and gives that sense of being part of a place.

This project is all about communities looking at their landscape, working out what the special elements are and then preserving them for future generations.
