Autumn Reflection
11am – 2pm
Join a guided walk to a quiet area on the reserve for shared readings, stories and quiet reflections.

Water Matters: Drought, Flood and Conservation
7pm
Local experts discuss water issues in Oxfordshire and demonstrate effective rain water harvesting.
Adults £3, Children & Friends Free, or Joint £8 ticket with Another Kind of Silence (see 18 Sept)

Wallingford Castle History Walk
11am
Meet at Wallingford Museum
Join local historian Judy Dewey on a guided walk around Wallingford Castle Meadows.
Adults £3 - All proceeds to Wallingford Museum

Free Drop-in Rag Rug Making
11am – 3pm
Help make a giant rag rug for our new story telling corner at Project Timescape.

Another Kind of Silence

Highly acclaimed performance of Rachel Carson's courage in overcoming the opposition of government & industry to alert the world to the careless use of chemicals in our environment.

What can you make from wood?

Fun in the woods using tools to make a mallet, whistle, beads, gazoo & build a fire in the woods.

Meet at Cemetery Lane entrance.

Adapting to Climate Change Workshop - the energy choices of tomorrow
10am – 4pm
Become a policy maker and use the highly acclaimed Wittenham Model to decide on the energy choices for a 2026 South Oxfordshire community. Cut carbon emissions by 50%; save energy by insulating houses; see the outcome of your decisions on the landscape.

Apple Day Scrumping

Scrump in the orchards, make a bird feeder, apple mania quizzes, apple juice and cider pressing and tasting. Activities individually priced.

Halloween Pumpkin Party

Ghoulish treasure hunt, followed by pumpkin carving and games. Free insect cake if you come in Halloween fancy dress. Soup on sale.

Our National Parks, Not Ours But Ours to Look After

7pm
Adrian Thornton takes us on an illustrated tour of the 12 National Parks in England & Wales and discusses the problems and threats that the parks face.

Hurdle Weaving at Riverside Meadows, Crowmarsh
10am – 4pm
One day workshop making traditional hazel hurdles to take home. Whether you want to camouflage a compost heap, disguise a dustbin or make an interesting trellis this course is for you. Adults £40, Friends £32

Children’s Night Hike
5pm – 7pm
A walk into the woods to discover what goes on at night. Children £7, Project Timescape Passport holders & Friends £6, Adults Free

Make Christmas decorations from recycled materials with the education & Wild Waste Show teams. Children £5, Friends £4

Create-a-Copse at Wallingford Castle Meadows
10am – 3pm
Drop in any time for some fun tree planting to create a home & food source for birds & mammals. Follow arrows from Cemetery Lane entrance. FREE

Christmas Craft Fair
10am – 4pm
Meet Santa and Mrs Clause, enjoy a traditional Christmas Craft Fair and visit the enchanted story forest. Adults £1, Friends Free
