| Using the outdoors as inspiration explore trees in detail and release their creativity to produce a booklet recording all they find and feel. |
| History |
| Unlock the secrets of the past |
| Bring your class along to learn how a Roman soldier used their shield. Have a go at building a Saxon wall. Become an archaeologist. These are just a few of the activities that will help your class discover how people lived in the past. |
| Geography |
| Little Wittenham Landscape |
| Children will explore the landscape of the Wittenham Clumps describing its features and uses. Through activities and discussion, children will identify what they like and don't like and create the best route around the reserve for visitors to follow. |
| Science |
| Excite your Senses |
| Using their senses children will explore the world around them. Make a smelly cocktail, produce a listening tape or sound map. Meet a tree, fill a feely box with touches and discover the colours of the countryside. |
| Creepy Crawlies and Bigger Things |
| Learn about the plants and animals of Little Wittenham. Dip in our pond, sweep the grass, delve in the wood. Find out who lives there and why? All these questions and more will be answered in our habitats day. |
