| Chronology – What happened when and how can we tell? |
| The history of Little Wittenham is a history of the UK. With good archaeological evidence of settlement here during every era from the Mesolithic to the Present Day there is excellent potential for students to understand the chronology of the UK and the context of each historical period amongst the others. This day fully utilises the resources of the Project Timescape centre and its extensive collection of artefacts, skeletal remains and interpretation of the changing landscape. This understanding is enhanced with guided tours and student led studies of the Wittenham Clumps landscape that develop students ability to interpret landscapes and appreciate the changing role and significance of an ancient settlement through the ages. |
